It's about getting 30mpg AT 70MPH.
THen you said: " I do believe, with some modification (electric fan, intake exhaust, etc.) 30 would be very possible consistently."
so '30 what'? 30 ducks? 30 bats?
30 mpg at 42.5mph?
The discussion, for 6 pages is not can an explorer get 30 mpg at some speed.
It is that it cant get it doing 70mph.
You said 30 (mpg at 70mph) would be very possible consistently.
I call bs.

I apologize and should have clarified, my driving is all done at 55 mph or less. I avoid the interstate (as all the wannabe racers and ignorant drivers tick me off, not to say that this generalization applies to everyone out there, just a select few) and was simply stating that it would should be possible to obtain 30+ mpg under 60 mph. 30 at 70 mph, I agree is B.S. This guy apparently has no clue how to figure up mileage correctly. Mine averages 16-17 mpg or less at anything above 65 mph. I will make sure I clarify in more detail on my next reply.
