If you want to trim the foam a cheap serrated ginzu style knife works well. Then fill in the open pores with some sort of filler (I don't know if bondo dissolves this kind of foam)

Yep stole a bread knife from the kitchen for foam cuting it works really well.. just let you foam cure fully for over a day.. the foam sometimes has gewy spots in thick spots .. then you have to fefill it with foam over again..
Usually i foam the structure , cut it down then sand it down then refill any large foam pours with more foam.. then sand again and them cover with a very thin coat of bondo to smooth it out. Bondo doesn't dissolve it.. either does fiberglass resin, unless its got to little hardener in it, you need it to set up fast 10 minutes or so, or it will melt the foam if the resin takes longer than 15 minutes to harden.. its kind of odd but works well.. makes it strong too.
The hood is spperate from the fenders.. just like stock for the most part.. t
