I am not sure why idle is at like 850-950 (from my memory) for sure oil pressure would be slightly higher but i think it just being 4 cylinder they don't want it to low .
What do you have ignition timing set to the EECIV was heavy on electronic advance with it disconnected it was like 10-13deg depending on ECU and had like 20deg advance .
I would try and keep it close to stock idle speed something around 800-900 range .(I think stock was 750 w/o IAC plugged in and 850 with it in ) .
