My Honda CBR250R is pretty noisy around the top of the windscreen so I choose to ride with in ear canal phones as ear plugs if I am traveling faster than 90kph. I have a Zero Gravity Sport Touring windscreen on my Ninja250 which is much taller than stock. When I lay down behind that my head is completely inside the bubble and it is dead silent. It sounds the same as if you are just revving the engine in the parking lot. I mostly ride the Honda as it is much better on gas and the stock windscreen works well in the rain which is quite often where I live. If I position myself to look just over the top of the stock windscreen, very little rain stikes my visor and I can see quite well. I can ride the entire highway section of my commute without ever having to wipe my visor. It is a trade off of increased noise vs perfect visibility. I could add a higher piece onto the windshield of the Honda to make it quiet but then I would have to look through the rain that would be stuck to it.
