Does the chip run a lean cruise map? You won't get away with what a car can due to weight and drag, but you might still have some fat in your cruise mixture.
You could also pick up 1mpg by friction reduction treatment to engine and drivetrain - something like Militec-1 or Slick 50. Some oils help mpg too but careful not to go too thin.
I agree with you about cold air. Hot fuel is good for mpg though, but loses power in some cases - not always.
