I have a boat trailer that i tow my zodiac with on some days my jet ski on other days and what ever else i need to carry on on the trailer.
I made a plywood bed for the trailer that I bolt on with u-bolts to transform my boat trailer to a utility trailer, it also still carries the boats in this form. Like Charlie I am not penalized for it unless its on the hitch. Its seriously the best of both worlds. I seriously recommend getting one. I enjoy mine much more then having to live with a pick up truck..My last vehicle was a 3L Ford ranger that was less useful then my current trailer, for instance try carrying anything half ways long
(pipe, 17 ft lengths of wood, large windows) in your pick up, you'll be screwed and will need to pay for delivery or rent a trailer
