HAve you increased the psi?
that is a great little car.
I agree in NOT stripping the car down. THere are certain creature comforts that are built into an upper tier brand.
I have an Infiniti Q45 and would never gut it just for 1-2mpg.
I even run the a/c on automatic....and get my 30+ mpg.
