"thicker/longer zig zags."..
Does scaling up the size of the ZigZags increase their effectiveness?
I'm thinking along the lines of 0.1 to 0.25 thick and about 3" to 4" cross for use on the trailing edge of my CRV's roof.
If something like that was effective, perhaps a strip of ZZs down the trailing edges of the sides would help too.?.
Making and installing those larger ZigZags would be a lot less complex than working out some kind of boat-tail for my CRV.
