I spent a whole 2 minutes at the border. I had a cloth covering up my grocery bag and the foil-capped grape juice it contained (it actually was just sparkling grape juice) with stalks of rhubarb from Darin's garage chalet poking out of it. The guard asked me where I was going, how long I'd been in Canada, and pointed at the rhubarb and asked what it was. I told him it was rhubarb and he smiled and said he didn't know if it was prohibited or not but probably not and motioned for me to go through. I had a bunch of crap in my back hatch too that didn't get a second look which I could've concealed all manner of contraband in... maybe some horse meat.
