@Tango Charlie - Yes, so far I am quite happy. And yes I do think it would work great for a center mirror replacement!
My wife's truck (Traverse) has a rear view mirror, and when you throw it in reverse a screen appears in the mirror, which is connected to a camera on the back end. Which is very similar to my setup, and would work well for you, I think.
