I tried the acetone thing in my 95 accord V6 (which I no longer have). I saw an increase of about 4 mpg using 2oz per tank (I think it was 15 gallons).
Then I ran out of acetone. I maintained the mpg's I had gained for several weeks.
My theory of acetone? It cleans your fuel injectors and keeps them clean. Doesn't improve fuel burn up or help gas vaporize any better.
Thats my theory, and I'm sticking to it will someone can prove for sure that I am wrong.
