This morning's fill-up in my Mustang will help our team average a little.
444.7 miles, 13.76 gallons, 32.318 MPG. Same station, same pump, and same filling procedure as last fill. That's my all-time record high for the "White Pony".

My physical mods are cooler looking side mirrors, a shorty 8" radio antenna, Ford Racing cat-back dual exhaust (added 31.5#), Hypertech Max Energy Power Programmer, and Stack Racing "Billet style" upper grille insert. None of these have made any noticeable difference in fuel economy.

My other mod is "adjusting the nut behind the steering wheel"

My tires are at 35PSI; I don't Pulse&Glide, Engine Off Coast, or Drive With Load. Nor do I draft other vehicles.

I've been concentrating more on my "Driving Without Brakes" this past tank. And I had a short road trip that included about 90 miles of 55-65MPH driving.

I set this record despite burning a few extra ounces of 87 octane fuel to set up for the photo opportunity of a lifetime. I couldn't turn it down - after all, I am Mustang Dave...
