I painted the coroplast on my Civic with black Rustoleum camouflage spraypaint. No prep besides maybe wiping with a cloth and it seemed to stick pretty well. I only had the car for a few more months after that, but everything was holding up. Worst case scenario is you would have to do a bit of touch up every few months.
