Hydrogen and oxygen don't react at normal temperatures ... as long as there's no ignition energy to set them off.
Friction or electrostatic discharge will set it of though.
The safest way to store H2 is in a purpose-built pressure vessel, storing only H2 .
DIY-ing with H2 is not something I'd recommend to anyone.
