Hm... I seem to recall that somebody on this board got nearly as much gain on his vehicle by removing his cone filter and re-installing his factory air induction system... No extra holes were drilled that would have allowed extra air into the factory induction system, either... Wonder who could that be...

I went from a aFe cone induction system back to a factory induction system, complete with traditional non-cone filter element, and netted a gain of around 5% FE.

Then again, the factory induction system has an intake air heater powered by warm engine coolant. Do note, however, that the factory system does not have any extra holes drilled for purposes of drawing in more air.
