"Based on", but when I suggested to someone in CNG forums about using a scuba compressor he said "dear god no" for the above reasons - there are modifications to make things explosion proof which they dont have compressing only air, so I shared it as a safety warning. Also if they cost more it's pointless...

That said i'd love to see talk of general duty flammable fuel compressors for up to 1000psi or something, I had a thread elsewhere asking on compressing woodgas that i'd like to try it in relation to.
