Hello,
Planning on doing a full underbody panels with wheel wind deflectors
and rear diffuser on a 1.4 Polo 16v. This version of the polo comes with
sport suspension from factory therefore it has already been lowered
from the standard model.
Below is posted some designs. My main concern is (pics 1 & 2) where I
have to lower the engine undertray to allow heat to escape. Also
the transmission and oil sump tank sit low so there is not much
options to have the front engine undertray any higher.
Your looking at the front undertray area of around 10cm height and 1
metre across.
Q: Is this bad as I will be increasing the frontal area. Am I
DEFEATING the object here therefore this design won't see much
performance or economical improvement?
