Check out my sig for what I did with my Silverado (4.8L auto 2wd). I got from ~15mpg average on my commute to 19-20mpg average. The highway only leg of my commute I could keep it around 24mpg.
In the end, it was still too expensive for my commute and I just bought a Civic HX. This tank is looking like nearly 50mpg...
