I'm no heavy and commute 1-up (ok, I've done many thousands of kilometers 2-up), but the NC700's main appeal is something else for me. May not sound too convincing for others, but it's the luggage compartment. Which is almost unique among the 'proper' motorcycles (I just can't stomach scooters' riding position and the lack of manual trans and clutch).

Bad that I can't upload pics from my workplace, but I made a shot of the F650CS summary too. There aren't enough data points to draw a proper Bell curve, but it's something that ranges from 44 to 79 US mpg has more entries between 51 and 59. OK, that stray 79 mpg entry (the only one above 68) is mine

(And I'd like to know that being with the 91mpg entry at G650GS! I go contact them...)

edit. only 2 data points with WILD variation, not even enough to ask A 57 and a 125-mpg entry - not convincing at all, and no updates for a year
