HydroJim,

I did very much the same design for wheel skirts on my Aveo. I want to give you a little bit of a heads up. You definitely want to make sure that the metal strip isn't contacting any part of the wheel as the car drives over bumps. I ran my car for a few thousand miles until I realized that the aluminum strip I used was barely grazing the valve stem on my tire. Eventually, the valve stem gave, and my tire went flat as I was driving. The other side didn't have any problems even though it was cut to the same length. Just be careful, but it looks like you've done a good job. I love the boat tail too.
