Make a plug out of the metal part of a spark plug. Install a grease fitting in the center of the plug. Put it in a cylinder that has both valves closed. Start pumping grease in that cylinder and you can unstick that engine.
Personally I would put the GM 4 cylinder engine in it, the one that is used in a lot of marine applications, with FI and a 5 speed, in that light weight car it would do very well if you could get a nice tall differential ratio.
