Coroplast bends in only one plane, no compound curves unless it's cut.

if you're only going back 3-ft,you could leave the taillights where they are and provide channels down the sides of the tail with which the lights could be seen from directly behind.With clear plex over the channels the whole thing is illuminated at night.Really good visibility with tespect to other motorists.
Then just have license plate lamps and reflectors at the back.
