Parts are getting easier and easier to get for the Black top or silver top. The 4AGE or MR2 forums do a good job of having alt part numbers that work on other cars. Alof of 97 Camry parts interhange with them.
In any case, good luck with the swap. That 2.4 Tacoma engine is pretty solid as well. I have had it and its larger 2.7 version in my tacomas and had no issues wiht either.
