maybe but - no one said it would be easy

the lawn edging thing would be wasted when you move on to create your
improved front of car , in the time after the front bumper cover

remember
you will not be making a new bumper , you will be making a new slippery er
front bumper cover
the original bumper reinforcement can be retained .... if you so desire .

and
you would miss out on the disapproving /skeptical / jealous looks and rude comments from neighbors and co workers as your project progresses
if
you choose the easy ,less slippery path
