I'm an old (70+), retired civil engineer. Just bought a new, 2012 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SL. Love the new truck,

EXCEPT FOR THE MILEAGE

- 12.5 mpg first tank. Totally unacceptable.

I'm her for pointers on improving the fuel mileage (short of leaving the vehicle on the dealer's steps)

I am interested in techniques for removing the ethanol, adding acetone, and perhaps the pros & cons of adding diesel to the gasoline.

Seen some good discussions here.
