(I still don't know what a modine is...)

Time flies like a banana! (Or something like that...)
This summer, one piece of the puzzle was sadly lost: the friendly across-the-road neighbour passed away. And this guy was clearing snow & cutting the shack's front lawn in trade for a year-round parking space at the end of the driveway. He'll be missed - he was one of those "social glue" people in the neighbourhood - chatted with everyone.
However another puzzle piece was found: with the parking spot vacant, opportunity knocked: a different neighbour (this one right next door) is going to trade me
grid power for the use of the spot.
The little
photovoltaic system has been just fine for lights, electric mower & small power tool use, but it can't handle the welder.
So, now I'll finally be able to do some welding projects, and I'll be able to top up the ForkenSwift's pack more easily during its annual hibernation. I just need to get/make a heavy-duty extension to run to the outlet by his pool pump.
I'm
still not finished the various maintenance projects I want to do to the building that I listed 2 years ago. And it has filled up with far more junk than I imagined (Frank called that one though).
But I'm looking forward to being able to do more projects inside this winter!
