Wow, never thought Id see efficiency take a back seat to economy.
I know the bigger the diesel engine is the more efficient it, of course we are taking on the scale of a 2 story home alone for the engine size.
Not sure if anyone followed this, but since we are speaking or large efficient machines Art Bell the former host to Coast to Coast AM had wire ran around his property to make one large antenna. Upon finishing this project it didnt quite work as an antenna as it was generating 400 volts. I bet a mining site would be wrapped with some wire and use the power generated to offset the needs of the equipment.
