"I'm guessing" really is the operative term here. The gain could be due to so many different things with such a test like this, you really can't know. You made a specific claim about seeing a 5% gain from this specific mod, but it's really a guess. Your gain could be due to differences in average temps during the specific times and routes you were driving across the different weeks and several different traffic conditions combinations, on average over a long stretch of weeks. Confirmation bias rules such scenarios.

I don't see how a rigorously prepared and executed test, honestly reported and critiqued, misleads. It may limit, but that would be because it demonstrates something does not work. If you apply findings for one vehicle to your own recklessly, then you might unnecessarily limit yourself, but that's a matter of careful thought about whether a test applies to your configuration, such as a MAF, MAF/MAP, or just MAP set-up relative to this WAI mod.

I didn't say it didn't work. I asked you to show me that it did because I was curious. I agree testing can be discouraging, but so can encountering and believing a claim of a 5% gain when you're new to this site, only to discover $40 later that the mod doesn't work. If he has a MAF equipped car, there's no evidence a WAI will work.

I don't need to prove to anyone that it does work....you need to do that yourself.
One of the great things about this site is that the readers ask for proof when someone claims a specific and large gain, like 5%, from a debated mod, like a WAI and such.
