Hey Gasninja!
I just joined myself after lurking for a while. I see you've been doing your own calculations. Doesn't the Focus have it's own built in mpg gauge? I've read the factory ones are not as 100% percent accurate, but it could be good to measure your results up against, and see your mpg at different speeds by resetting it when you get to that speed (it only provides average mpg, not real-time). In my family Focus, the mpg gauge shows up if you keep hitting the "info" button, located on the bottom below the radio, a/c, and power outlet.

At 45 mph in a long, flat, winding road with nothing but green lights, I was getting 50.4 mpg, this with only occasional breaking-to-slow-down-slightly here and there! Ours is a 2010 coupe.
