If you cherry pick data from here

# of Cell Tower Sites per State in the USA | Wireless Estimator Community

and the 2.5 people per site average and the 2.5 sites per tower average

plus the electricity use
How much energy/electricity does a cell phone tower typically use in a month? | Answerbag

We end up at

1.4kw * 24hr = 33.6 kwhr per day for your cell phone

and this one is a cost also but not sure how to define it into this discussion.

And that amount does not include the normal telephone background, PCs, etc that are also required.
Lol. I said it saves ME money.

And really, the guys that climb those towers, they understand and accept that risk. I don't shame myself knowing that people have died doing their jobs, because they made the choice to put their life at stake for whatever money/benefits were provided.

I do the same thing every time I take a job felling trees, excavating, etc. Any of the things I do could easily kill me. It's a calculated risk that I have to take to support my family, and so I don't feel that it requires special mention.

We couldn't all have the "safe" jobs in life... nothing would ever get done.
