I'm keeping my 13's and just put on a set of Defenders. Yeah, the selection in 13's is pretty bad, but good on Michelin for offering their newest model in this size.

If you avoid any (most / all?) braking, you don't lose much to heavier wheels. It takes more to accelerate them, but then you get that back in momentum as long as you don't waste it on the brakes. Handling is a separate issue, but at 16 lb these aren't too heavy.
