My ex was the WOST at this, shortly after I started going on this site and becoming ecologic/nomaly minded, the relationship ended. I think it had SOMETHING to do with our difference on: driving, eating, shopping, using electricity and sleeping (no joke, all of that) after I started. She was the typical American "keep up with the Jone's type of person. She came from a family swimming in their own debt with two parents working full time + over time just to keep from going bankrupt because of it and it seemed like she was destined to repeat the same mistakes her parents had made (not going to college, getting a half ass job, getting into debt, etc). I was trying to steer her in the other direction, showing her that she didn't need to buy 4 Billion pairs of flip flops and that she didn't need to drive her poor corolla like a race car simply because she could. She was also the WORST at leaving lights on, she would turn every light on in the apartment and then just leave, I would come home, swearing I turned them all off, but they were on. I eventually broke down and put in a full replacement of those CF lights which helped a good bit on the bills for that habit.

I think it has something to do with how women have more emotions then guys do, boiling through there head almost constantly. I know my ex was a very emotional driver and a very emotional spender. Women sort of have to learn from day one to control those things otherwise they can be very expensive or even destructive if the angry driving causes an accident.

Needless to say, I can agree with you Johny, no doubt. However, I've recently been hanging out with this girl (that omg I want to date so bad) who is so a-typical female. She is almost borderline OCD about saving fuel, turning off lights, using very little gas and water in the apartment. And best of all, I'M MOVING IN WITH HER THIS FALL!!! I can't wait to see how low our electric bill and gas bill will be between the two of us, hehe.
