The stock trunk lid is actually pretty light and keeps water out. At this point I am not risking a trunk full of sopping wet stuff after a rain. I have my eyes out for one that I can cut up, but they want $55 at U-pull-it.
Welded frame tonight, might add some diagonal braces.
