Fiat 500 dirty butt

One of the small problems with the Fiat 500, is the fact that everything sticks to the back window.

When you drive it, the turbulence behind really leaves it filthy. If you watch in the rear view mirror you can see the leaves dancing on the back window. Add a little rain, and the leaves are stuck to the back window. Very irritating.

The factory spoilers on the Sports and Abarths have the same problem.

My question is: If I put an air deflector on the roof to direct the air down the back window would it help or hurt the FE? Or would a spoiler right under the rear window be better?
