The reason I put up the poll is becuase there are different perceptions out there (as can obviously be seen from this thread). Some people will swear up and down that there's a significant difference, others with swear up and down that there isn't. My goal actually wasn't so much to debate the issue as much as it was to get a feel for roughly what percentage of people fall into the different camps.
