The cops had a problem with the clear Lexan cover I had over the license plate on my boattail so I had to remove it. SC state law says there can't be anything covering the plate, so those license trim plates and covers are technically illegal if the cop chooses to notice it. You can get away with it on a run of the mill car, but not in any vehicle that tends to attract a cop's attention.
