Looking for any info RE CA vs Federal for 6th gen HX lean burn.
I've got a 2000 Cali HX, 5spd (5wire o2 present). Ultragauge indicates 0 voltage for lean burn and I can stay in that above ~2400 rpms, 5th gear when warmed up. I can go up to 30% throttle w/o it kicking out depending on engine load.
Annoying thing: to FIRST get into lean burn, I need to be around 60mph and warmed up to 180* it seems. Won't get into lean burn if speed is much higher for the initial LB. Once its been in LB initially, I can get it to go back in at much higher speeds (60-75 mph easily). Occasionally I'll hold lean burn below 60 mph, but not often.
Seeing as I have a functioning LB Cali HX, what, if anything would a Federal ECU do? Are there differences? Would be cool to know if it actually would increase MPGs for hwy cruising (70-75mph).
