Is there any metal line coming off the filter that you can slide a rubber hose over and clamp it on? If there is that will save you a LOT of money. If you have any fittings that are stopping you from doing this, cut em off! I do it a little backyard-ish but it works.. I just cut them with a pair of side cutters. The fuel line always gets crushed flat so I just insert a nail to open it up and then a punch (or similar metal object) to make the line round again and then slide the rubber hose on and clamp it down.
P.S. if you do this, make sure you get high pressure fuel line! I just replaced a section of my line in my car because the previous owner attempted this very thing, but used vacuum line instead.
