Around 1970 I was driving East on the freeway around dusk. Since I was in a 1957 Beetle, I had a round driver's door mirror and I could see the setting sun perfectly centered in the round mirror. In the surrounding twilight, I had a moment and went "Awww...." until I realized the sun wasn't setting behind the hills; it was setting into the air pollution.
