I once bought an early-mid '70's CB 125 strictly just to see if the mpg would beat the Kawa. KL250 Enduro I still have.

It came close to tying, but again, at 6"4, the larger frame of the Kawa. much more comfortable. So after this test, my CB125 ownership was brief. I sold it to a happy teenager who understood my whys, and I didn't lose any money on it either.
A nice experiment with a decent outcome!
