It stayed till I could not stand the out of balance wheel any more and cleaned it out myself.
a good bit of the mileage loss was backing out of my 75 foot long 10 foot up driveway with a foot (closer to 1.5) of snow in a front wheel drive car. It takes an interesting combination of the ballerina's finesse wrapped in the subtly of all the fire and brimstone a 2L ford can muster.
