Just filled yesterday. This was the first complete tank of my life! You can see I started a fuel log for AutoBeaterM3. Got 6.75 LHK (34.8 MPG). Did 687.1 km (426.9 miles) on 46.3 liters (12.2 US gallon).

I was surprised by a couple of stupid drivers who cut me at intersections...

Anyway, I'm pretty excited with this score, I was thinking more about ~7 LHK, and got 6.75.

So, for now, fist goal is complete. Take less than 25 liters per week.

woot last two tanks averaged 33mpg, a week at 5 below (F) and then 1 and 1/2 foot of snow really takes the mileage out of it.

On the plus side. The snow makes instant smooth wheels, and grill blocks.

Yeah, but it does not stay in place really long.

It stayed till I could not stand the out of balance wheel any more and cleaned it out myself.

a good bit of the mileage loss was backing out of my 75 foot long 10 foot up driveway with a foot (closer to 1.5) of snow in a front wheel drive car. It takes an interesting combination of the ballerina's finesse wrapped in the subtly of all the fire and brimstone a 2L ford can muster.

Cold enough now that the load of turning the transmission in neutral is enough to stall the engine at idle.

Manual trans for me as well. I have gotten it a few times with several cars. Once it was so cold I had to use a camp stove under my samurai to warm it up enough to start at all. Then had to run the engine for a bout 10 min with the clutch pressed and slowly let it out to get it to turn the transmission, like getting going up a very steep hill.

I upgraded the lower grille block. I also covered the fog light holes with transparent tape.
Still on the second tank since I started driving it. I'm at 480 km and the gauge show middle of third quarter.
