Great job, PaleMelanesian! Both with your health and with your fuel economy.

Actually personally I plan to average 7.6 L/100km and assume my wife who has the car half the time will continue to do 9.6 L/100km, which is still 11% better than US EPA Combined.
I only managed to drop my fuel use down to 9.3 L/100km or 25.3 US MPG, but then at the end of August I traded the car in for a 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv 6 speed manual and averaged 7.1 L/100km (33 MPG) in that to the end of the year. I miss the space of the Mazda 5 but I figured we should just drive the most fuel efficient vehicle that works for us then rent a minivan for $8/hour through a car sharing program when we need one -- gas and insurance included.
