Mazda's been making rotary powered cars since the 60's. It is really impressive that of all the car companies that tried to develope the wankel, Mazda was the only one that was successful with it. Through the gas crisis and the emissions standards, mazda kept with the rotary even though those were not its strong points. You just gotta love a company like that.
