Hell, that's okay. They already have wireless maintenance doohickeys that plug into the vehicle's OBD port (at least, Chrysler does). Wouldn't be too much of a stretch to include a wireless OBD port in every car, instead. Then, the police wouldn't even need to ask. They'd just ping the car they suspect of speeding.

Ohio, BTW, is one state where the speeding laws require that the officer in question visually determine whether a car appears to be speeding, before he can verify it with laser or radar means. Pretty shifty, I would say. "Hey, look! That car _appears_ to be speeding! Let's ping it with this police OBD scanner!"
