I react poorly when I hear a Subaru ad for the new Forester which is rated 33 MPG highway--mine is only rated twenty-four!
I rarely drive faster than fifty-five, pulse-and-glide, and coast as much as possible. Sometimes I am actually able to coast to a stop light on an off ramp!
I average 23 MPG.
