13B refers to the engine code name --> 1.3 liter rotary engine.
Other exmaples include the "LS1" (GM push rod 5.7L liter v8 in corvettes, camaro's, firebirds, and trucks). Or you've probably heard of a "b18" honda engine (1.8 Liter DOHC 4 cylinder).

That is just so awesome! I've been laughing so hard at myself that I'm crying. This system needs a belly laugh smiley icon.

They've got a confused. I should have used it in my first post.
I was a 13B for years (after doing a few as an 11H). I worked with some 88Ms, but had never heard of an 88FC. I did a brief stint impersonating a 31E, which we called a 31FA for accuracy's sake. But that was just in the Army.
I drive an 05BP (Subaru Wagon) and my wife has an 011RT (Dodge minivan). I deal with vehicle and engine codes all day long, but your car's codes were too close to MOS designations for me to think they were car codes.

Lol I understand now.
I'm pretty bad at thinking of internet so they're mostly based on my car or my computer.
Does your subaru have a turbo? 28 mpg is pretty dam good for a awd subi.

Yeah, it's a turbo. And 28 is only good in this rig for winter mileage.
I don't burn it up like I used to- MPG numbers are harder to get and more satisfying than shaving a few seconds off my commute and leaving chaos i in my wake. It's also immensely entertaining to get these numbers in a car that isn't meant to get them- that's why I care more about my % over EPA rating than much else. My dream is a tankful at over 35 mpg in everyday driving.
Wait till late next summer. Once you've got more time under your belt and the weather's on your side, I'll bet 27 will be your floor, not your ceiling. And all the while with all that GO under your foot for whenever you want it.

I react poorly when I hear a Subaru ad for the new Forester which is rated 33 MPG highway--mine is only rated twenty-four!
I rarely drive faster than fifty-five, pulse-and-glide, and coast as much as possible. Sometimes I am actually able to coast to a stop light on an off ramp!
I average 23 MPG.

27 is amazing for an engine like this that is streetported. I doubt I'll ever come close to that in daily driving.
My goals for my sports car are much more about speed than efficiency, however I came to this forum to learn about and discuss driving techniques and maybe do some small mods for MPG that do not have adverse effects.
I also just like reading about other people's all out MPG projects.
One of the best opportunities for engine off coasting that I have found is when the speed limit slowly decreases over a long distance. I will get up to 65 (10 over) and then coast and shut the engine down for more than a mile as the speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 to 25 until finally coming back alive at around 28 mph (4th gear 1500rpm)
Lately I've been getting 19mpg which I'm blaming on winter, because 21-24 was typical in the summer.
I'm waiting for a good 3cyl 5sp geo metro to pop up on craigslist for less than $1000 so I can have something economical and actually get into eco modding. However, I'm only 19 and I'm still in college so owning, insuring, and maintaining two cars isn't that realisitic right now.

What amazes me about this car is how MPG is so uneffected by how hard I drive it. Most of my driving is highway though. 80% of the time I have to accelerate, I know that I won't have to stop anytime soon, and so I just take max 1st and 2nd and throw it in 5th lol.
What I need to stop doing is maxing 3rd as well (95mph).
