I looked at your kammback a bunch while I was deciding what to do for mine, I think you're right that the foam core would be a great way to go about this. Now that I've done the way I did, I could do it even better a second time, but if I ever re-do it, I will likely try a similar technique as your insight grill block.
As far as the dating site, you'd be crazy NOT to!
That's what got me here and led to creation of my Neon, lol. Despite the fact that I won't be driving as much, I'll still be sticking around, ecomodding/ hypermiling has gone from a means to save money, to actually being fun.
