If you are up to just throwing money at the problem, the folks at
Rywire : make a lot of different adapter harnesses.
Disclaimer: I know them personally from when they lived up in this area.
If you can dig up wiring diagrams for the CRX and for the motor you have, you can probably cut-and-splice your way to something that works.
