LOD, MPG, AVG, and either VLT or fWT.

Throttle position is not a good indicator in my car; the resolution seems very coarse. So I go with Load instead.

fWT (degrees F Water Temp) to monitor warm-up in the morning, or any time it's cold-ish outside. Especially if I'm going to use the heater.

VLT if I'm going to be turning the engine off at any point in the trip. I've killed at least one battery in my previous car that way, and I'm not anxious to kill another one.

EDIT: Wow, that was some real thread necromancy there--almost a half decade!!
